I have known and worked with Dr Ishaku Leo Elisha between 2018 – 2021, when he joined the Phytomedicine Research Group as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa. Dr Elisha has a quiet, unassuming and very professional demeanour which complements his organisational efficiency and dynamic nature. He is an excellent example of a life-long learner, who reaches out to every opportunity to further excel in his research career. While enriching himself with skills and knowledge, he strives to share these skills to build young researchers to benefit science. Dr Ishaku is an excellent speaker, and an accomplished scientific writer, with a host of editing and reviewing skills. I am convinced that Dr Ishaku has a wealth of knowledge that will make a significant impact in science in years to come.
